Monthly Favorites - October 2015

Hi everyone!

October is now over and November is here so time for another monthly favorites! I got quite a few new things this month which I am going to share with you as well as some older things which I still love!

Chi Chi Moisturising Lip Crayons - These lip crayons are really awesome! They are highly pigmented and feel like a lip balm. My lips do not dry out at all while wearing these which is quite important to me. The only down side is the colour wears off quicker than other products but considering the super low cost and all the upsides this doesn't bother me very much.

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer - Previously I had been using LA Girl Pro conceal. I do think it is an amazing concealer for the price but I found that under my eyes it creased more than I liked. This Maybelline concealer has the same coverage but is a lighter formula than the LA girl one, which feels nicer under my eyes and looks way nicer. This concealer is also very affordable which is even better!

Lush Ultrabland Cleanser - I have had quite a few skin problems this year, my sensitive skin has been playing up and I've had a really sore, dry rash on my chin all winter. This face wash was gentle enough to use on my face everyday and it helped to control my acne while also moisturising and helping to get rid of the rash. Lush products are also all handmade and cruelty free.

NYX Eyeshadow Base - This white eyeshadow base is a necessity for anyone who loves playing around with eyeshadow. The white makes eyeshadows really stand out and this base makes eye makeup last for hours. It is also at a very low price and comes in 3 other colours.

Mac Lipstick - Whirl - Following the brown lipstick trend I got this Mac lipstick which they are selling as the 'Kyle Jenner' colour. This is a matte shade which is quite brown on me but I have seen that it does look lighter on others. This has been my go-to shade this month.

Australis Metallix Eyeshadow - Gold Gaga - I have had heaps of fun playing around with this eyeshadow this month. This is a highly pigmented shadow with a foil finish which looks awesome all over the lid and on the inner corner.

xoBeauty Lashes - The Naturals Set - This set of lashes is perfect for everyday wear or a more special occation. This set is made up of a few very natural lashes as well as some more dramatic ones and are all very good quality.

Monthly Favorites - August 2015

Hi everyone!

August is now over and it is finally spring!! I am very excited for the warmer weather and summer is only 3 months away! Here is some of my favorite items from the past month.

XOBeauty Lashes - The Naturals Set - I am obsessed with fake lashes and this past month I have been using this set created by Youtuber Shaaanxo. This set is a bit less dramatic than the set I showed in my July favorites but just as amazing. My favorite ones are The Romantic which are at the bottom.

Australis AC On Tour Contour and Highlighting Kit - I can not get over how amazing this kit is! I have only had it for a couple of weeks now but have been using it every time I wear makeup. You can watch my full review here.

Australis Metallix Eyeshadows - These eyeshadows are super metallic and pigmented. At only $12 NZ they are also super affordable! I got the shades Gold Gaga and Lana Del Grey. I will have a makeup tutorial using theses as asap!

Cala Brush Set - I was unsure of how good these brushes would be because I had never heard of this brand and they cost hardly anything. When I tried them I was pretty amazed. They are good quality considering the price. This set includes 2 eyeshadow brushes, 2 face brushes, 2  small angled brushes and a lip brush. I find the angled face brush perfect for contouring. The site I linked is all I could find that sells these brushes. I got mine from a makeup sale.

Elf Waterproof Liquid Liner - This is a very affordable product which I love. It has a small brush applicator which makes it easy to get perfect winged eyeliner. It has a shiny finish. I am unsure of how waterproof this eyeliner is. This exact one isn't on the site but the link is to another elf one that looks similar.

Maybelline Color Elixir - Radiant Raspberry - I have talked about these a couple of times now but I still really like them. This past month I have been using this shade more than the others, probably because I am already wanting it to be summer.

Australis Eyeshadow Primer - There is quite a few Australis products in this favorites which shows how much I am enjoying this brand! I mentioned this primer in the last favorites but I feel the need to talk about it again. After a night out I noticed my eyeshadow still looked exactly the same in the morning which is amazing! (I know, I should remove my makeup at night haha). That has proven that this primer really works.

e.l.f. Gloss - Peaches - I am unsure of which elf product this is or how you can get them in pans like this because I had it given to me from a makeup artist. I really like this shade. It is a pink shade filled with gold glitter which will be perfect for summer. Elf products are very affordable and usually good quality. Here is a couple of links to elf products that may be it or be similar: e.l.f. Studio Pout Perfecter e.l.f. Studio Lip Balm SPF 15

Monthly Favorites - July 2015

Hi everyone!

July is now over so it is time for another monthly favorites!

XOBeauty eyelashes - I love these eyelashes! I got given them as a gift for my birthday from a friend and I love wearing them. The quality is amazing and they are very inexpensive. These lashes are designed by makeup Youtuber Shaaanxo and are handmade in NZ. This is the Dramatics set. My favorite is the third down - The Primadonna.

Cala Small Eyeshadow Brush 320 - This was a brush I picked up at a makeup sale because it was super cheap but I wasn't sure how good it was going to be. I find this brush perfect for packing on color but it isn't the best for blending. For the price though I think it was a good buy.

Natio Bronzer & Enhancer - This highlighter and bronzer is beautiful! It has a soft shimmer and is the perfect shade for creating a natural glow. It also has an amazing chocolaty scent to it and is very affordable.

Max Factor Skin Luminizer Foundation - I am loving this foundation! You can read my full review on this here. It has an amazing glowy finish that I love!

Almay Eyeshadow in Creme Brulee - This is the perfect shimmery shade for highlighting the browbone and inner corner and I have been using it all month! The texture is very smooth and the colour is soft and not overly intense so is perfect for everyday wear.

Australis Eyeshadow Primer - This is a really good primer which holds my eyeshadow in place for hours! You can see my review here.

Favorite Song - Blasterjaxx & DBSTF - Beautiful World (D-Block & S-Te-Fan Remix)

Monthly Favorites - June 2015

Hi everyone!

June has now passed so it is time for another monthly favorites! I have a few more things than usual this month because I just kept finding more things I love!

Guess wallet - I had such a hard time choosing between all the guess wallets at the shop I was in because they were all amazing! But I finally chose this one and it's perfect! I has plenty of space for cards in it and isn't too big and bulky.

Maybelline Color Elixir in Luxe In Lilac - I posted a review on these lip glosses a few days ago (read it here) and this is my favorite of the four shades I got. It is an amazing purple/lilac colour.

LA Girl Pro Conceal - This concealer is AMAZING! I have seen people using this but never actually tried it myself. I finally bought some and I was not disappointed! It have a very full coverage and is also very affordable. I looks great on and doesn't go cakey or gross.

Chi Chi Metallic eyeshadow palette - I have talked about Chi Chi eyeshadows before in other monthy favorites but this month I just had to talk about another one. This one is full of highly pigmented shimmery and metallic shades which are perfect for a night out as they stay on for hours and look amazing.

Natio Young Tinted Spot Cream - I have have quite a bit of acne at the moment which sucks but at night I've been putting this on and my spots are almost gone by morning! This is also good for during the day because it is tinted so helps to cover redness while helping to get rid of them.

Lucas Papaw Ointment - I have always seen heaps of people using this like a lip balm but had never tried it. I got this a few weeks ago and it is amazing! My dry lips improved by the next day and this can also be used on things like dry skin, burns and cuts.

Sunsilk Straight Perfection - I have been loving this heat protect spray this month. It helps with keeping my hair straight and helps to reduce frizz which is always good and doesn't feel gross in my hair at all.

Schwarzkopf Color Protect Leave-in Conditioner - I had this given to me and have been using it every time I wash my hair even though I have never dyed my hair. It makes my hair super soft and because it is designed for dyed hair it is great for helping with damaged hair.

Monthy Favorites - May 2015

Hi everyone!

I haven't done a monthly favorites post for a couple of months now but it's back! Here are my favorites from May 2015!

Chi Chi Classics eyeshadow palette - Chi Chi is one of my favourite makeup brands. It is very affordable and amazing quality. This Classics palette is perfect for everyday wear and I love using the soft browns for a simple look. There are also some shimmery shades in the palette which I like to use if I am going out somewhere like a party or event.

Designer Brands Infinite Gloss in Fairytale - Coming into winter my lips have been very dry. I really like this lipgloss for this time of the year as it is made with Paw Paw, Vitamin E, Argan oil, Jojoba oil and Manuka honey which moisturises and keeps your lips healthy. I got the shade Fairytale which is a pink/coral colour. The colour is quite sheer which I don't mind as I'm not a huge fan of coloured gloss. It would look nice layered over a lipstick. It is also very affordable.

Garnier Moisture Match Moisturiser - My skin is very dry at the moment from the change of seasons so I have been using this moisturiser twice a day. There is a large range so something for every skin type. It is SPF 20 so has some sun protection. I have found that since I started using this a couple of months ago my skin has been a looking a lot more hydrated and healthy.

Natural Living Hydrating Body Lotion - I use this moisturiser on the rest of my body and it has really helped with my dry skin. It is made with Shea butter but it has a slight fragrance to it which I don't mind too much but other people might not like it.

Bracelet - This bracelet is one that my friend Cassidy brought back from Brazil where he went on holiday. It has a small turquoise stone in the middle and wooden beads. I really love this bracelet because it has a bohemian look which I am loving at the moment.

Music:

Favourite song - Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike vs Ummet Ozcan - The Hum (Angemi Tropical Edit)

Favourite Producer - Rebourne
I have been listening to heaps or hardstyle and hard dance etc lately and Rebourne produces amazing euphoric hardstyle which I love! All his music has a great vibe and I can't stop listening!

That is all my favourites for May. I will have a post up at the beginning of July with my favourites for this month so be sure to check back to see it!

Monthly Favourites - January 2015

Hi everyone! It's the first so it's time for my favourite things from the first month of 2015!

First is these ankle boots from London Rebel. The first thing I liked about them is the colour. I love the shade of brown and they stood out to me from the black boots around them. They have a wood heel which I think is different and interesting. They are really comfortable and feel like I'm wearing wedges rather than heels so are good for everyday wear. They are no longer availiable from the London Rebel site but you can still buy them from No.1 shoes in NZ! Link at the bottom.

I have a new moisturiser this month which is Garnier Moisture Match. Since I started using it I have noticed my skin is brighter and makeup applies and blends very easily. I got the normal skin one but there is about 5 different ones available.

During the holidays I have been spending a lot of time painting my nails. I love this Chi Chi glitter nail polish in the colour Kim Wannabee. It is their salon formula nail polish and I was not disappointed. As usual Chi Chi has done an amazing job on this product. There is almost more glitter than polish! Here's what I did with it.

I have still been working on my jewellery and a few weeks ago I made this rough amethyst necklace. I am very proud of this one and I love it so much I almost don't want to sell it!

Next is a couple of things I got for Christmas. My grandma got me this belt. It is a Roxy one covered in studs and I love studs! I wear this belt heaps.

My sister got me this book which is wreck this journal. It isn't an ordinary book either. On every page it has a different way to wreck it.

My favourite song of this month is Shake The Earth by Elephante ft. Lyon Hart. I will listen to this song on repeat! It is amazing and has such a good vibe.

That's it for this months favourites! Links to these are below.

Monthly Favourites - December 2014

Hi everyone!
December is over! That means it's time for another monthly favourites. I have been super busy this month. I got called into work (which is a cafe) a lot more than I normally do because of the amount of people travelling and stopping in for lunch. On top of that there was of course Christmas and I had an unexpected trip away so it has been full on.

I am definitely going to try post more so if you have anything you would like to see on here leave a comment.

Right, now onto my favourites for December! First is this silver cuff which I got at a stall in Geraldine (NZ). The jewellery there was amazing and they had something for everyone. Most things were made of silver but they also had some other things there too.
I love this cuff because it goes with so many different things. It can be casual enough to wear with everyday clothes but it is also nice enough to be worn for something more formal.

Next is my new military boots.. I can never have enough! These ones were a Christmas present from my boyfriend. They are Pulp and he got them from Hannah's. The great thing about Pulp is the are very good quality so will last for years. Hannah's also has good sales and I always find good shoes like these in the clearance section for less than half price.

My makeup fav for this month is Chi Chi metallic eyeliner. This eyeliner is creamy so it goes on easily and is highly pigmented. It is also waterproof so it stays all day or night but isn't hard to remove. The colour I is got is Roller Girl which is a light blue with silver glitter. Recently I've been using this in the lower outer corner of my eyes which looks really good with my green eyes.

My favourite song this month is Max Elto - Shadow of the Sun (Mako Remix). This song isn't really new and I have liked it for ages but over the past month it has again become one of my favourites. It have such a good vibe to it and makes me think of summer just like all the other songs by Mako.

Now for the last favourite of this month - Dolls Kill. This shop has the most amazing clothes I have ever seen to feed my bad-ass and crazy side and it takes all my effort not to buy everything! They also have some rave clothes on it which I love. Here is some of my favourite things I found on it.

So that's it for this month! Links below.

-Alexis :) xx

Boots - Hannah's
Chi Chi eyeliner - Here - The colour I got is not available but there is a few more different ones

Monthly Favourites - November 2014

Hi everyone!
I'm going to start something new on here - monthly favourites. This will be a post at the end of each month telling you about what my favourite things have been for that month. So to start it off here are my favourite things from November!

First up is my makeup favourites. It is coming up to summer here in New Zealand so I have been using bronzer a lot. This Chi Chi mosaic bronzer is amazing! I got it in the shade dark. The way the different shades are separated means it is easy to make it darker or lighter depending on how you want it to look. The shades around the outside have a slight shimmer to them but the dark one in the middle is quite matte so I often use it to contour.
My other makeup fav is the Revlon Lash Potion by Grow Luscious mascara. My eyelashes tend to clump together with mascara but the brush with this one separates them well and makes them look a lot longer. It is also affordable - it only cost me $20

My fashion fav for this month is my Guess bag. I take it everywhere with me and it has so much room in it. It goes with so many different outfits and is just beautiful.

My favourite jewellery of this month is one of mine.. my gold body chains. These are so perfect for summer and can be worn with a bikini at the beach or with a crop top as you can see I have done.

Last favourite this month is music. You know the deal by Bisbetic ft. Sam Bruno. Amazing production by Bisbetic and beautiful vocals :)
