Quick Beauty Tip - How To Clean Makeup Brushes

Hi everyone

This is just a short post on how to clean makeup brushes.

Things you need: Brushes to be cleaned, a bowl and shampoo.

First put some shampoo in the bowl. You can use a makeup brush cleaner but they can be expensive so shampoo is a cheaper option that works. Add warm water. Swirl the brush around in the soapy water and use your hand to gently rub the brush to remove the makeup.

If your brushes are really dirty you can leave them to soak for a bit.

Rinse the shampoo out of the brush with warm water.

Leave the brushes on a towel to dry. I usually leave them overnight.

Done. All clean!

Monthly Favorites - July 2015

Hi everyone!

July is now over so it is time for another monthly favorites! 

XOBeauty eyelashes - I love these eyelashes! I got given them as a gift for my birthday from a friend and I love wearing them. The quality is amazing and they are very inexpensive. These lashes are designed by makeup Youtuber Shaaanxo and are handmade in NZ. This is the Dramatics set. My favorite is the third down - The Primadonna.

Cala Small Eyeshadow Brush 320 - This was a brush I picked up at a makeup sale because it was super cheap but I wasn't sure how good it was going to be. I find this brush perfect for packing on color but it isn't the best for blending. For the price though I think it was a good buy.

Natio Bronzer & Enhancer - This highlighter and bronzer is beautiful! It has a soft shimmer and is the perfect shade for creating a natural glow. It also has an amazing chocolaty scent to it and is very affordable. 

Max Factor Skin Luminizer Foundation - I am loving this foundation! You can read my full review on this here. It has an amazing glowy finish that I love!

Almay Eyeshadow in Creme Brulee - This is the perfect shimmery shade for highlighting the browbone and inner corner and I have been using it all month! The texture is very smooth and the colour is soft and not overly intense so is perfect for everyday wear. 

Australis Eyeshadow Primer - This is a really good primer which holds my eyeshadow in place for hours! You can see my review here.
